I could be wrong here ,but To me it sounds like it might be The Panda-Door-a Box precursor to the next step of using the malady as the reason to remove Toyota Auto Scan feature entirely ( cannot be retained in future because an OE copyrighted sequence  cannot be got around using unique coding)just  like the Autel software for GM no longer offers autoscan feature (as far as I know)  I just wouldn't  do auto scan  for Toyota and Lexus if you run the risk of corrupting what still remains working for you.

We have known this issue. Have you collected the datalog to us? What's your serial No.?
